While BC didn’t pick up any graduate transfers this
offseason, Boston College added offensive lineman Eddy Fish who is transferring
in from Illinois. Fish will be a
sophomore this upcoming season, which he will have to sit out due to transfer
rules. Fish is a former 3 star
prospect that committed to BC as a walk-on before Illinois gave him a
scholarship. Fish only starting
playing football his sophomore year in high school, and missed most of the last
2 seasons with a back and shoulder injury. He has great size, but will be a project due to his lack of
experience. He was unlikely to
play this season anyway, and will have 3 years of eligibility remaining. While I
would have liked BC picking up a grad transfer or 2, adding Fish helps solidify
depth issues in the future.
