Rose Bowl: Ohio State (Big 10 Champ) VS. Utah (Highest ranked Pac-12)

Sugar Bowl: Oklahoma (Big 12 Champ) VS. Auburn (Highest ranked SEC)

Cotton Bowl: Western Michigan (Highest ranked Group of 5 Champ) VS. Texas A&M (At- Large)

Orange Bowl: Louisville (Highest ranked ACC) VS. Wisconsin (Highest ranked Big10 or SEC)

Group of 5 New Year’s 6 Rankings

The Group of Five’s (AAC, Conference USA, MAC, Mountain West, and Sun Belt) automatic spot to a New Years Six bowl goes to the highest ranked conference champion.  Right now the only 2 teams ranked in the latest College Football Playoff Rankings are Western Michigan and Boise State.  Boise State, however, does not hold its own destiny in the Mountain West and needs Wyoming to lose.
